Third Tremors movie takes us back to the small Nevada town of Perfection where local resident and adventurer Burt Grummer returns after traveling abroad and killing carnivorous worms called “Graboids” (introduced in the first movie) and their offspring “Shriekers” (introduced in the second movie) to life in his home town and must deal with some crooked land developers, a thrill-seeking guy named Jack Sawyer looking for wealth in this potential tourist town, and eventually dealing with a new strain of Graboid worms that metamorph into their second Shrieker phase, and whom unexpectedly morph into their third stage for another harrowing battle against Burt and Jack in the desert surrounding the town. Written by Matthew Patay Burt Gummer returns home to Perfection, Nevada, from a trip to Argentina, where he wiped out a herd of Shriekers. Things are a little different in Perfection now — the community has become something of a tourist attraction because of a battle against Graboids about 11 years ago. Nancy Sterngood and her 22-year-old daughter Mindy still live in Perfection. Burt’s friend Miguel still calls Perfection home. Obnoxious Melvin Plug has moved into real estate, and he is now trying to build homes in Perfection. There are even Graboid comic books on the racks, and Safari Jack Sawyer takes families out on phony Graboid hunts for a few bucks. Burt’s pretty disgusted by the whole thing. The Graboids haven’t surfaced in Perfection since the battle from 11 years ago, but that hasn’t kept Burt from slacking off. His home is like a fort, completely Graboid proof and Shrieker proof. But after 11 years, the Graboids and Shriekers have returned, but this time there’s trouble. Government officials show up to protect the monsters, because Graboids are an endangered species. To further complicate things, the Shriekers evolve into a new kind of flying creature that can sense body warmth in much the same way the Shriekers can, and local store owner Jodi Chang, the niece of the late Walter Chang, calls them Ass Blasters. Burt unloads his arsenal of weapons to use against the monsters, and Jack and Jodi team up with him. But since these creatures can fly, and are each carrying a Graboid egg inside of it, Burt, Jack, and Jodi are going to have to watch every single step they take if they are going to stay alive long enough to stop the monsters.

Film Review

In the third installment of the Tremors series, survivalist Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) returns to the desert town of Perfection, Nevada, to find that the subterranean terrors are back and wreaking havoc once more. This time the beasts evolve a stage further: from the 'Shrieker' (seen in Tremors 2), they transform into flying creatures, nicknamed 'Ass-blasters', because of the unusual manner in which they propel themselves into the air.Tremors 3 is another fun dose of B-movie monster mayhem, albeit one slightly marred by the notable absence of the main stars of the first movie (Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward) and the inclusion of some rather ropey CGI effects.Bacon and Ward may be missing, but several of the supporting characters from the first Tremors film make a welcome comeback: Mindy Sterngood (Ariana Richards, who is all grown up now and looking rather foxy!), Nancy Sterngood (Charlotte Stewart), Miguel (Tony Genaro), Melvin Plug (Robert Jayne) and, of course, good old…

The good people of Perfection are now so used to The Graboids they have turned to exploiting them for tourist trade, fooling eager gawpers into believing they have seen a Graboid even when the area is perfectly safe.Everything seems fine until, inevitably, The Graboids return, in both their above and below ground forms and, worse still, the authorities prohibit them from being killed to allow the scientific study of a new life-form.Burt Gummer is on hand to provide some gun-toting enthusiasm to proceedings and, just when things seem to be coming to a conclusion, a fresh twist: the Graboids take to the air in a new incarnation; ass-blasters.Whilst the budget seems to be cut in half with each successive sequel, the balls out action and gloopy good spirits remain, mainly due to the fact that cast members from both previous movies pop up to join in the fun.Sporting some of the worst special effects this side of Godzilla Vs. Mothra, this a a B-movie creature feature only true devotees will…

In Argentina, munitions master Michael Gross (as Burt Gummer) blows away a herd of second stage "Graboids" – if you've been watching the "Tremors" films, you'll know these critters are called "Shriekers". Then, Mr. Gross returns "Back to Perfection", Nevada. The city's population is down to five, from the original film's fourteen. Gross finds a new arrival among the familiar few, entrepreneurial Shawn Christian (as "Desert" Jack Sawyer). Mr. Christian is in town to make a buck off of the tiny city's infamy. As it turns out, "Perfection" has become a tourist attraction, due to its "Tremors".The opening "tourist" scenes are very funny – and, this third installment ups the comic quotient successfully, for much of the running time. The supporting cast includes more original cast members than you can shake a stick at. They are nice to see, but (some) tend toward camp in their characteri…
